In this video I review a SDR Minion transceiver by QRPver company. This time I only have two questions which interest me: what's the current draw from the battery and what's the transceiver's power output. Unexpectedly I discovered that the output power is very uneven in this rig raging from 2W on 160m to 10W on 40m bands. This is most probably the result of poor design of the power amplifier or the Low Pass Filters. There is also no possibility's forseen in the menu to make power output adjustments. Otherwise, the power output, whatever it is, is stable, especially at the 10W level on 40m band, the transceiver doesn't get excessively hot. This allows for a seamless operation in FT8 and other digital modes at full power.
