This beautiful mixed media tag by @SuzyHeinz showcases how versatile @timholtz Distress Crayons can be. By blending vibrant crayon colors over stenciled Texture Paste, each layer adds depth and dimension, while a spritz of Distress Spritz brings everything to life with a gorgeous shimmer.
Supplies:
Tim Holtz Distress:
- Crayons: Uncharted Mariner, Rustic Wilderness, Picked Raspberry, Mowed Lawn, Black Soot
- Texture Paste Opaque
- Collage Medium
- Spritz: Fossilized Amber
- Collage Brush
- Palette Knife
- Sprayer
- Heavystock Tag
Ranger:
- Artist Brush

- Layering Stencil - Floral
Idea-ology Metallic Sticker Book
Foam tape
Instructions:
- Apply Texture Paste Opaque through the Floral stencil with a palette knife. Let dry.
- Add Collage Medium to the tag. Let dry.
- Add color to the tag using Distress Crayon in Uncharted Mariner.
- Blend with damp paint brush.
- Remove excess pigment with a damp paper towel.
- Place the stencil back over the tag, color the florals with Distress Crayons. Blend color with damp finger.
- Remove the stencil and continue building layers with Distress Crayons, blending each layer until you're happy with the result.
- Spray tag lightly with Distress Spritz.
- Edge the tag with Black Soot Crayon.
- Add a sentiment and string to finish the tag.
