🐙🌊 Pulling out the Stamping Foam to make layered backgrounds for some Under the Sea cards, featuring stamps, stencils, and paste from the Simon Hurley create. line at @ranger_ink. Card designed by @carrierhoades

-Under the Seam Stamp Set
-Fish Frenzy Stencil
-Bubbles Stencil
-Salt Water Background Stamp
-Stamping Foam 4.5” x 5.75”
Stellar Ink Pads: Loch Ness, Tropical Tango, High Tide, Love Bomb, Bee Sting
-Lunar Paste: Bee Sting
-Stellar Paste: White Lie, Crystal Clear

Instructions:
-Arrange fish images from the Under the Sea stamp set in a group on your work surface. Heat up the stamping foam for 10-15 seconds and firmly press that onto the arranged stamps, pressing them into the foam.
-Add ink to the foam with blending brushes for a soft blended look.
-For a layered look try adding some stenciling to the stamping foam. You can do this with ink and a blending tool or for a loose look try using Solar Spray.
-When you have the look you want on the stamping foam, mist it with a spray bottle of water from 6 or so inches back and only 2-3 mists. Lay your paper on the foam to pick up the image, lightly rubbing with your hands to get all of the surface area.
-Trying adding to your background. I added more fish and bubbles with the Bubbles and Fish frenzy stencils. I used Crystal Clear Stellar Paste on some and White Lie Stellar Paste on others. When these were dry I enhanced the look of the paste stenciled areas by ink blending the edge of the panel with Loch Ness ink. The paste resists the ink, making the images pop!
-To complete the cards I added stamped images and sentiments from the Under the Sea Stamp Set. I pulled out some embellishments from my stash for some and others got a bit of splatter. Now these panels are ready to be added to cards.
SPLATTER TIP: Water down your paste, in this case I watered down Bee Sting Lunar paste and splattered that on my lobster card. It has a nice shine to it and a little texture.
