You know when @artofdinawakley has a new release it’s going to be a good one. This release didn’t disappoint. Watch Claire @artjournallove use the new Collage Papers and Chroma Transparencies to make a fold out element for her art journal.
Supplies:
Dina Wakley MEdia:
-Collage Paper: Bold
-Chroma Transparencies: Painted Elements
-Sticky Back Canvas Tape
-Gel Medium
-Cotton Watercolor Panels
-Rub Ons-Flutters
-Paint: Ruby, Tangerine, Lemon, Lime, Turquoise, Black, White, Iris, Magenta
-2” Flat Brush
-Words From Flower Crowns Stamp Set
-Glue
-Coaster Stencil: Big Circles
Other:
-Double Sided Tape
-Ribbon
Instructions:
-Using three cotton Watercolor Panels and some Sticky Backed Canvas Tape, fasten them together leaving a small gap between each panel, so they can fold easily.
-Put out the Rainbow colours listed in the supplies next to each other - almost in a caterpillar shape and pick up the colours on a 2” flat brush. Pull the colours across all the panels.
-Cut a sheet of the Chroma Transparencies with the dots on to the size of each panel.
-Using some of the collage paper from the Bold pack add some marks to the panels.
-Use the Big Circles Coaster stencil and some White Paint and add some stencilling to the background.
-Add some black splatters.
-Using the DWM Glue, stick the transparency pieces onto the pages.
-Choose some images from the Bold Collage Tissue pack and add them to the panels.
-Using another piece of the Sticky Back Canvas Tape, add some black dots and tear into thin strips.
-Add some of these near to the collage images on each panel.
-Add some words to each panel - use the Flower Crowns stamp set for the text.
-Stick it into a journal using double sided tape and some DWM glue as well. Pop a piece of ribbon behind so the booklet can be fastened shut.
