The recording became their first single and hit after they changed their name to The Angels. "Till" was originally derived from a French song released in 1956 and has been covered many times since then. The group renamed themselves the Halos following a dispute over the ownership of the name "The Angels", but later changed back to it maintaining a steady string of moderately successful singles. They are also well-know for their session work as background singers for many notable established singers as well. In 2005, the Angels were inducted in the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. Their biggest #1 hit was "My Boyfriend's Back" released in 1963.
