"Move It On Over", by American musician, singer and songwriter George Thorogood and The Destroyers, is a 1978 remake of icon singer/songwriter Hank Williams' 1947 major hit record. Williams himself is one of the most celebrated and influential musicians of the 20th century, especially in regards to country music. Thorogood's version is an example of his "high-energy boogie-blues" sound, which is a mixture of Chicago blues and rock and roll that became a staple of 1980's rock radio. With his band, he has released over 20 albums, of which two have been certified Platinum and six have been certified Gold, and has sold 15+ million albums worldwide. Thorogood and his band continue to tour as of 2017. In his "50/50" tour of 1981, he toured all 50 U.S. states in the space of 50 days.
