The TIE Baron was a model of First Order TIE Interceptor that was painted red to indicate the skill of its pilot, Baron Elrik Vonreg. It came equipped with shields and a hyperdrive, which was a rarity for any TIE model to have both. It was armed with four laser cannons, mag pulses, and concussion missiles, and its top speed matched that of the Imperial TIE Interceptor. Vonreg personally assisted with the development of the starfighter, and he was the most famous pilot to sit in the cockpit of a TIE Baron, but they were not one of a kind. A handful of other First Order Barons were seen patrolling the skies in their crimson starfighters. #starwars #tiefighter
