Is Boba Fett a Mandalorian? As far as canon is concerned, the answer to that question is kind of nebulous. Originally, yes, he was. But then the Mandalorian Prime Minister Almec claimed Jango was not a Mandalorian in The Clone Wars. Now we have the concept of foundlings, and it sounds like that’s what Jango Fett was. So I believe Jango and Boba Fett could be considered as much a Mandalorian as Din Djarin, who was also a foundling. Almec was probably just being condescending towards foundlings as someone high up in the government and probably with a long Mandalorian lineage. But, according to Boba Fett, he’s just a simple man trying to make his way in the galaxy. He never claims to be a Mandalorian. I don’t think he considers himself to be Mandalorian. He just wants his father’s armor back. So I would say that yes, Boba Fett is technically Mandalorian…but if he doesn’t want to call himself one, I’m not gonna tell him he’s wrong.
