He is a review of Thrudark's brand new 2026 backpack. This is the Thrudark Pinnacle 42L backpack. This can be used as a rucksack for climbing, daypack for hiking or a backpacking bag for overnight adventures.
It costs £190, weighs 1.7kg and comes with a 5 year warranty. It looks the business and has the quality to match. I love the little design features and fixings, it's those touches that make the backpack feel special.
Overall, I used it twice for backpacking, carrying approx 10kg with all my backpacking gear and hiking gear.
Overview
The Pinnacle is a 42 litre, green, technical hiking backpack, constructed from high tenacity recycled Robic® Polyamide with a C0 DWR treatment, reinforced at high-abrasion points with 840D ballistic nylon. Built for multi-day thru-hikes, camping trips and longer range forays. A floating top lid, sleeping pad straps, under-lid cinching straps for climbing rope and multiple webbing attachment points extend its capability beyond the day pack category. With an adjustable padded back system, padded hip belts with zip storage and an integrated detachable rain cover rated to 10,000HH+.
The main body is built from Robic® 210D Hex Nylon with a C0 DWR water-repellent treatment and 1,500HH rating that sheds light moisture while keeping the pack breathable on the move. Robic® is an enhanced variant of nylon that is stronger and more tear resistant than standard nylon at 50x the tensile strength and 2.5 times the tear resistance. The Robic® used on the Pinnacle Hiking Backpack is constructed from 100% recycled nylon making it highly sustainable as well as durable, lightweight and weather resistant.
