Protagonists that are on their quest are a recurrent field of interest for the german-turkish director Thomas Arslan: whether in his Berlin trilogy GESCHWISTER (1997), DEALER (1999) und DER SCHÖNE TAG (2001), in his thriller IM SCHATTEN (2010) or in his late Western GOLD (2013). To us he spoke about how he considers the notion of adventure when it comes to his protagonists.
