This TCM hack for pimples actually works. It speeds up the healing time of pimples, which in Chinese medicine are a type of heat stagnation š„
Using heat + this acupressure technique on the pimple helps āunblock the roadwaysā of circulation around it, so the hot little ball of stagnation can clear faster. When I do this for patients, they often notice the pimple looks and feels smaller right away, and becomes less tender and less red. Those are good signs that circulation is improving and the tissue is calming down.
For huge cysts, you may need to repeat this 2-3x throughout the day. Just make sure your fingers are very clean. Afterward, you can follow with a tiny dab of whatever spot treatment you already use, then put a pimple patch over it. š
ā ļøĀ Important: do NOT do this on open, bleeding, or oozing skin.
Questions? Lmk. And if you try this, definitely tell me how it goes. If you get stuck, Iām here to help!
This is a general educational tip and not individualized medical advice. If you have severe, persistent, spreading, or highly inflamed acne, or signs of infection, consult a licensed healthcare professional. Stop if irritation worsens.
