In early 2024, Farm Transparency Project investigated the Game Meats Company slaughterhouse installing cameras which uncovered the brutal, and often illegal, killing of thousands of goats, including infant goats.
On many occasions goats were seen leaping free of restraints, running across the kill room, being hit in the face with a broom and killed whilst fully conscious 💔
On the 3rd of May 2024, we sent a formal complaint to the Federal department of Agriculture and received no response. However, we know they got our email because they forwarded it straight to the slaughterhouse…
The Game Meats Company launched legal proceedings against us, forcing us to remove the footage from our website and leading to a five day trial in the Federal Court of Australia.
We’ve been fighting for the public’s right to see this footage ever since.
👉 On Monday February 2nd 2026 from 11am - 2pm, we will be outside the GMC slaughterhouse in Eurobin holding a peaceful vigil and memorial for the thousands of goats killed every week.
