It was impossible to ignore the demand after doing the other two week 4 songs, but whats funny is this song is probably my favorite of the three so it was inevitable that Id take this one on. The first time I played through High I was blown away by the final note harmony and just the general vibe of the whole song. Getting to sit down with it and start transcribing it really let me appreciate a lot of the song more, especially in some of the chord choices and voice leading in the background synth parts.
Jack and I have been having an absolute blast doing these FNF covers and weve been so happy to see so many people enjoy them. Jack and I taught Adriana some neck stretches weve learned from our many years of headbanging so that Adriana could effectively play the role of girlfriend yet again (dont worry her neck is fine). Wed love to do more, but as weve done all the week 4 songs, my next few are definitely going to go for a different vibe I think. I guess well just have to see how that goes!

I was so excited to see the Korone metal cover recieved so well. I like many others fell into the rabbit hole of Hololive back in 2020 and derived a lot of enjoyment from watching these silly anime girls play games and joke in a language I could barely understand. The charisma and entertainment was unmatched and completely new and I found myself becoming fans of so many Holos. Pekora was among the three I got into first after watching her play Mario 64 with Okayu. I loved her attitude and really loved watching her other streams that were translated.
The thing that really drew me in though was this BGM. Her music was so catchy that its no suprise it gets the joke that its Brainwashing. Its so cheery and fun that Ive had it stuck in my head for almost a year now, and whenever I get a song stuck in my head, usually the best way to reign it in is to spend a week with it by making a cover of it. Its looking like it didnt help because Im still humming it while I write this.
I know this isnt technically video game music, but I hope youll indulge me this week and enjoy this silly tune and my attempt to make it go way harder than anyone intended. Enjoy!

Its been crazy seeing the hype of this game continue so far after its monsterous release two weeks ago. There was so much excitement and its so refreshing to continue to see more covers, fan arts, and everything in a time where it seems like the general video game audience has such a short attention span for games these days. I had such a fun time seeing just how fast I could churn out a cover of Attack of the Killer Queen after the game released, but this time I really wanted to go all out.
I originally had the thought to just do the vocals myself, but I was stressed because I had to leave this week to LA to do some video stuff with Alpharad. Adriana had the idea of how cool it would be to have him actually do the lines and I thought it really fit super well. I completed the entire song instrumental and filmed my sections at home, and then we found a set to film at in LA after I recorded his vocals and glitch edited and packaged the final song together on his kitchen table.
We had an INSANE amount of snags though. Not only did we end up arriving to the shoot space an hour and half late, (leaving us about 20 minutes to get ALL of the warehouse shots you see), but when I tried to pack up and leave in a hurry, I twisted my knee and leg really bad. Then once I moved over the files to my laptop, they all inexpicably disappered without any prompts or anything after I begun editing the video. I spent the next 48 hours recovering the files from the SD card using various storage recovery programs and could only retrieve about half of the footage we got. Jacob also ripped his pants during this shoot and I did capture it, but it was unfortunately lost. I honestly cant believe this video made it in time, but were all very proud of it and hope you enjoy!
