I was really happy to see in spite of the critical reception of Pokemon Scarlet Violet, that people still are really hype about this game's amazing soundtrack after my last cover of Penny's Battle Theme. I have been covering Pokemon music for over a decade now in my style and the quality of the music has always improved in some ways, and kept the original charm in all others. There's something always extremely gratifying about doing metal covers of this franchise's songs and I'm very happy to continue!
There was an outcry in the comments for many songs from this title, but this was one that flew under my radar because of how quickly it goes by in the game as the Team Star Grunt battles don't last very long. Upon really diving into it, I realized the complexity of it and how much stuff was here. I took the challenge and a challenge it was as I completely underestimated the difficulty of some of the rhythms and riffs. Hope you guys enjoy it!

I just got back from San Japan last week and it was incredible to go to a con again and meet so many of you guys! I was suprised and grateful of everyones attention to safety there, but I was also suprised how many people specifically referenced my Mega Man X medley as their favorite work of mine. When I came back, I was so inspired by those comments to yet again, revisit and do a full arrangement of a song I only breifly played in the medley all those years ago.
This past weekend I had to make another trip up to LA so I didnt have time to really go all out on a video idea or take anything particularly challenging or time consuming, and Mega Man music is always my go to since it rips so hard and its really curated to guitar, however I always tend to still try to push myself to make it interesting so I tryied to make a compelling arrangement and solo section and really tediously layer in cool instruments here. Hope you enjoy!

For how many hours Ive put into Final Fantasy XIV, its a wonder why this is my first cover from the game... and also a wonder why Im still trying to get through A Realm Reborn. I began playing quite a while ago because I was excited to see what all the excitement was about, being a big Final Fantasy fan myself, but I was not ready for the time commitment required to catch up. Ive been plugging away slowly, however Adriana and I have been passed this song by our friends asking if wed ever cover it. Needless to say, we couldnt resist.
Though its a song we wont be hearing in game for quite some time, the melody and harmony was instantly captivating to me and I just had to try to see what I could do with it. I had fun keeping mostly to the book for the beginning and expanding out as I normally do with these covers as it progressed, while Adriana found a great middle between operatic and a pop/rock style vocal for this arrangement. I think it came out fun, challenging, and unique and Im so happy to share it with you guys. This is christmas present to all our friends who were moved by Endwalker and we hope you guys enjoy it too. Its been harder and harder to find time to play games this year as the amazing titles keep piling on. Genshin came out of nowhere it seemed to be the time sink for a lot of people still having the Breath of the Wild itch. When I did the first Liyue Battle theme I was floored at just how many people were excited to see it and it was apparent that people really wanted to hear this one from the comments.
This one ended up being quite a challenge for me to film since I wanted to have the same background as the first one, but my sleep schedule has been essentially nocturnal after daylight savings hit so the only way I could do this video was waiting for the sun to come up. I was so tired filming this, but it was easy to enjoy myself when I started playing because this song is insanely fun to play.

Honestly, I wouldnt have been this brave to take on something like this if there wasnt so many really nice comments on my last few songs with vocals. You guys have really made me feel more confident in trying to do more of my own vocals and lucky for me, I keep stumbling on songs that I think are slightly more suited to me than other ones Ive tried. Thank you so much for your continued support as I overcome my voice sounds weird to me syndrome.
A few things are new for this video! SUBTITLES! YAY! I baked them in this time mostly inspired by LittleVMills doing it and I hope its cool. Let me know if you like them. The original song is very, um, creatively pronouced, so I thought this was a good chance to try this out.
