It's the Ultimate 35mm Photo Lens Shootout and Comparison with 5 different lenses: Canon VS Sigma VS Rokinon! We compare the Canon 35mm EF 1.4 L lens VS Canon RF 1.8 IS lens VS Sigma Art f/1.4 lens vs Rokinon T1.5 lens, VS the Canon 35mm EF 1.4 L II lens. What do you think is the best 35mm prime lens for photography and video?

For our 35mm Canon lens comparison test we shot on the Canon EOS R mirrorless body. We brought all of the photo lenses into the studio and setup our Profoto strobe to create a consistent setup for each photograph.

The FIVE lenses in our 35mm lens shootout:
1. Canon 35mm EF 1.4 L
2. Canon 35mm EF 1.4 L II
3. Canon RF 1.8 IS
4. Sigma Art 35mm 1.4
5. Rokinon 35mm T/1.5

Our model, Natalie, held her pose and we shot each 35mm EF lens at f/1.4 and f/4. In the 35mm Canon lens shootout, we compare the lenses side-by-side so you can see the differences. One really interesting result was the Canon 35mm 1.4 EF II vs Canon RF 1.8 IS - the RF really held its ground on the EOS R body.
