Welcome back to our Beginner's Guide to Filmmaking Part 2! In this short series we'll be covering all the basics of filmmaking, from the idea to post production. Today we'll cover locations, actual filming & post-production. Get ready to make a movie with some tips on filmmaking for beginners!

Hopefully you've checked out all the Filmmaking Tips in Part 1 of our beginner's guide to filmmaking. If so, you're ready to do some actual filming. The most important and often overlooked part of filmmaking is planning out EVERYTHING. Things can and will go wrong on set and you'll need to have a backup plan, and a backup plan for that. Low budget filmmaking is fun, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't plan ahead.

Once filming your movie has wrapped, it's time to move into post production. This is where all your hard work starts to piece together. Besides just editing together your film, there's still much to do. To make your movie stand out you want to have hard-hitting sound design, some heart-pounding or tear-jerking music, and of course a luscious color grade.
