I was fortunate enough, not just to get an early screening of Paramount's new #SpongeBob adventure, #SpongeontheRun, but to interview the iconic voices behind the iconic characters, Tom Kenny (SpongeBob) & Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick) about the new film, the upcoming spin-offs and the future of the franchise after two decades.
Sponge on the Run is in CANADIAN THEATRES ONLY and is the third feature length SpongeBob film. It is also the first SpongeBob property to be entirely Computer animated, which seems to be where the franchise is leaning, going forward.
In my #MovieReview, I discuss all the interesting tidbits about this movie you might not even think about. Is the franchise going in the right direction? Does this new animation style work? Is it a disservice to creator, #StephenHillenberg's memory? Would this film be as fun and exciting if it wasn't one of the only summer movie releases in this COVID pandemic?
