AUSTRALIA VS PARAGUAY
Many Aussies dropped everything today to tune in to the Socceroos match against Paraguay! Early on, Connor Metcalfe went down injured. There were some close and exciting moments. Paraguay got a few looks early on in the second half before this creepy kangaroo mask gave all of us a jump scare. In added time, both goalies got put to work, but in the end, it was 0-0. It might not be the most exciting result, but it's all the Socceroos needed to keep the World Cup dream alive!
VENEZUELA EARTHQUAKE
Venezuela has been struck by a devastating double earthquake. The quakes, which hit yesterday, reached 7.2 and then 7.5 magnitude, with the second being the most powerful quake to hit the country since 1900. Officials say it's left 3,000 families without homes, and so far, more than 180 people have died. The United Nations has been coordinating a big recovery effort, with a number of countries, including the US, Cuba and Iran, announcing they plan to assist with rescue and clean-up.
SCHOOL WORLD CUP
Now we're heading to WA to meet some students who are running their own World Cup. The students at Lynwood Senior High School love soccer. It's a specialist soccer school, home to some of the state's best up-and-coming players. While they're a bit too young for the World Cup teams this year, they want a taste of the action and are hosting their own World Cup! The school soccer academy has been developing talent for more than two decades, giving students specialised coaching and for many events like these are helping turn big dreams into realistic goals.
WORLD'S LOUDEST MAN
First up, to a man you'll hear before you see. Joseph here is Canberra's official Town Crier, and he's just broken the record for the world's loudest shout with a reading of 122.4 decibels. That's as loud as a plane taking off! Bet you didn't expect him to be that loud!

Over now to the images shortlisted for this year's Australian Nature Photographer of the Year, which is all about capturing nature and the unexpected moments. From the big moments to the small ones, and the funny ones!
NAN DOES BURNOUTS
Finally, you may not expect the driver of this vehicle to be an 86-year-old, but, again, expect the unexpected! This is Lorraine 'Nan' Tuckett, aka the burnout queen. Nan learnt the art of doing burnouts at the age of 78 and has competed in burnout comps for the past 8 years! Gnarly.
