The Jericho Connection | The Parable That DESTROYS Luther's JUSTIFICATION Theory @thejerichoconnection3473 | Uploaded December 2023 | Updated October 2024, 9 hours ago.
Luther's main "breakthrough" is the idea of faith alone, sola fide. But what does that mean in practice? it means that there is supposedly a passive faith that justifies us and an active faith that sanctifies us. The passive faith (faith alone) is the one responsible for our entrance in the kingdom of God through the impute righteousness of Jesus. The active faith (faith working in love) is the one responsible for our sanctification and the amount of rewards we will receive in heaven. However, our justification only depends on the first half of our faith (passive) and has nothing to do with whether we have active faith or not. But is this idea biblical? Does it have any part in the Gospel? Is it really what Jesus taught? Actually there is one simple parable that Jesus told his disciples that undermines this whole theological framework...
