Dr. Gavin Ortlund, @TruthUnites , takes on the objection regarding the problem of private judgment in Protestantism. He argues that the Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church suffer exactly the same problem. Gavin claims that there is absolutely no difference between the Protestant framework and the Catholic/Eastern Orthodox framework: everyone will have to eventually exercise his/her own private judgment to decide which church to join.
