We continue the study of the Gospel of Mark in Greek by analyzing Mark 1:36. This is the shortest verse so far but a few important considerations can be drawn. We can appreciate the ability of Mark in describing with quick brush strokes that leave much unsaid. We will also analyze a seemingly grammatical error in the verse. Why is the subject plural but the verb is conjugated in the singular? The answer lies in the primacy of Peter among the disciples that is clear from the very beginning of the Gospel.
