Yeah I watched TLG yesterday for the first time. Please don't kill me, but seriously, I loved it. It was way better than I ever expected anything that airs on Disney Channel could be.
Yes, it does have its flaws. But I honestly don't think it ruined TLK or anything like that. Considering how Kiara wants to be queen in TLG, I think we can even consider the show to be some kind of Alternative Universe of TLK and not fully cannon. What I mean is that we don't have to abandon our headcannons for Scar and Mufasa in the movie nor do we have to hate TLG simply because it's something new and not 100% loyal to the classic.
I just can't get over Kion because honestly he's ADORABLE. Like I want a plushie of him. My only problem with him is that we didn't get to see much of his relation with Simba father/son wise but hey I'll give them that because they shared moments. Hopefully they'll have more moments when the show does air. BUT SIMBA HAS A SON AND OMFG THAT'S SO CUTE.
Kion is just a fluffball made of love.
Also he is the reincarnation of Kopa shhh.
ALSO JUDGE ME BUT I LOVE JANJA. Does anyone else think he's the offspring of Shenzi and Banzai? No? Just me? Oh, ok. IT'S STILL MY HEADCANNON AND I'LL GO DOWN WITH IT. Because he looks like Shenzi and is smart like them and yeah. Never thought of the hyenas having cubs but it seems cool to me now. He's just a great villain because he actually uses his brain and also his design is awesome. And his voice. Not even close to Scar but they made A GREAT job on him. Even some facial expressions are similar.
Tonight we strike was seriously the best song. Kion's song was cute but meh his conflict was resolved in five minutes so it didn't hit me that hard. BUT MUFASA TALKING TO HIS GRANDSON sdfghjjhgfd I'M SO HAPPY I LIVED LONG ENOUGH TO SEE THAT.
I never liked Kiara anyway so Kion now you're my favourite Simba cub. Don't you look just like your daddy HE'S SO CUTE I'm sorry.
In overall TLG was great. Not gonna say AMAZING or BEST SHOW EVER because it's not. I could go on forever about what I think of it but I think I've made my point clear.
Cute show, will never beat the movie; give it a chance because why not.
AND LOVE JANJA AND KION. Thank you they deserve it.
