A rock/metal medley titled 'Linking Termina And Hyrule'. An arrangement of various songs from two video games of The Legend Of Zelda series: Ocarina Of Time, and Majora's Mask.
This was the first VGM medley I ever arranged - both OoT and MM have incredible music, and I simply couldn't settle for doing a medley for just one of these games, so we did a medley of both combined! The Zelda series in general have some of the best composed music in all of VGM history, so I definitely had to honour the OST of arguably two of the best games in the franchise!
In terms of the arrangement, I didn't too a whole lot of fancy things, aside from turning the chord progressions into riffs, since the music already worked so well in a rock/metal style. My favourite bit personally is the Stone Tower Temple section, as I did add my own spin on the main melody, with some great sounding chugs in the rhythm, and also has one of my favourite guitar solos I've ever written!
This cover was done back in 2017 as part of a video game music cover album, 'A Generation's Legacy', from my band Oroborus back when there were only two of us. This is why the mixing isn't as good and up to date, but hopefully still enjoyable!
