The Legend of Dragoon
by: OmegaSion
Along the way to Vellweb, the party run across the ancient ruins of a human fort.
Fort Magrad is a completely optional area that you can skip by if you wish, however there are some good equipment to pick up for the trouble, and a boss for a good EXP boost.
The boss for this area can be quite a pain. It's split up into 3 different parts, a sword which deals physical attacks to a single target, a helm which will block a random command for a character, and armor which will cast some high powered spells.
Also, whenever a portion of the boss is destroyed the sword will attempt to use an Instant KO attack on the last person that attacked so be sure to put on your talismans before you start this battle.
Depending on your party, and your preference you can defeat the boss in whichever order you want, however I would suggest taking out the armor ASAP because it uses some very damaging spells like Midnight Terror that can completely wreck your party if you get unlucky like I did and it uses it twice in a row.
Once all three parts of the boss are destroyed the battle is over and you'll get the Soul Eater weapon for Dart, a sword that will take 1/10th of his HP each turn (but can be countered with a Therapy Ring), and a Smoke Ball.
With that out of the way, in the next segment we'll continue on the journey to Vellweb.
