Over the Summer months, boats of the Cairndhu Rowing Club can be spotted along the coastline between Larne Town and Glenarm Village. Their boathouse was originally part of the landed Cairndhu Estate with it's grand house and coastal gardens - now in the process of commercial restoration after many years of dereliction.
As their boat glided into the harbour, I took the opportunity to meet the rowers and chat with them about their training. A very hospitable crew who let me see inside the little boathouse for the first time since I was a boy.
