This public awareness and promotional film by Consumers Power [Consumers Energy] produced in 1977 chronicles a significant ice storm on March 2, 1976 that caused widespread power outages throughout much of the southern lower peninsula of Michigan.
The ice storm was one in a series of annual significant winter storms to affect Michigan and Great Lakes region in the mid to late 1970's.
