This video recorded by Dan Walton shows the approach of the Wichita to Andover, Kansas tornado on Friday, April 26, 1991. The tornado grew in strength to F5 intensity and expanded in width to over a quarter-mile wide upon passing through McConnell Air Force Base. The reactions from both the videographer, his family within the household and neighbors feeling the oncoming tornado showcases quite well how human reaction to tornadoes differs from person to person.
The tornado eventually directly impacted the neighborhood a block east of where this videotape was recorded.
The low fidelity third or fourth generation copy has degraded over the years, and perhaps is most interesting for the audio alone.
