I’m still doing more Boss Rush quick kills. This time though, I want to push for minimum turns under certain parameters, like toastless. That way things are more interesting again.
For the most part, we have similar strategies to the past. So similar, in fact, that most are lifted off of other Boss Rush runs. I’ll just cover the few new strategies.
Sweetheart: So apparently Sweetheart is barely possible with a full-on angry team. I can’t even choose anyone other than Omori for Hero’s follow-up, it’s that tight. Is this any better than just a Last Resort nuke? Not really. Last Resort gives the party enough time for a whole pizza to heal, and I have to skip that for a toastless strat. I have to work with what I got though, and use Pluto/Slime Girls to heal instead.
Slime Girls: I tried hard to make an OTK work..but at the end of the day, I don’t think it’s possible. Instead, a turn to heal makes sure Humphrey goes smoothly, which is a luxury I’ve never gotten so far. I also love how I just need two Red Hands and a Sno-Cone and nothing else, it’s funny just how powerful Red Hands is.
Humphrey: Technically this was lifted from another strat, the toastless 3 turn BR Humphrey strat. The only difference is I didn’t end up needing some of the more damaging equipment; namely Abbi’s Eye on Hero is replaced with something usable. This is also one of the only times I’ve used a speed weapon in a BR run to fuel Kel’s only nuke, but it’s well worth the 3 points of attack lost.
Equipment:
Omori: Red Knife, Finger (Mari’s Cookie, Mush)
Aubrey: Baseball Bat, Wedding Ring
Kel: Basketball, Punching Bag
Hero: LOL Sword, Cough Mask
