In March 2013 the GWR locomotive 6023 King Edward II (the 'Blue King') was a guest loco at the Great Central Railway, Loughborough UK. As well as appearing on public trains the locomotive was also used for a series of photographic charters most of which ran under very challenging weather conditions. This video collates some of the best moments of this locomotive in action in its original form (it later had its chimney, brass bonnet, safety valves and cab cut down to comply with Network Rail loading gauge). Many thanks to the charter operators, 'Steam Recreations', 3P20' and 'RUSS' for enabling the charters to happen.
