34027 'Taw Valley' has now been withdrawn from service to undergo an immediate overhaul. For its final year in service the locomotive was painted into an unusual wartime black livery and given a new number (2ICI27). The locomotive also controversially ran in a Lilac/Pink/Purple livery to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Platinum jubilee year prior to its final year in black. I felt it prudent to compile all of our shots of Taw Valley in its wartime guise and make a video which would be easy to find for those who liked seeing this rebuilt Bulleid Pacific in Black. Scenes are shot from 2023 - 2024 on the Severn Valley Railway & West Somerset Railway.
