Double chimney Jubilee class Bahamas continues with its excellent performances in Southern England and again for the second time this Summer the locomotive is seen heading to the West Somerset Railway, on the West Somerset Steam Express. The locomotive visited last July and linesiders and passengers would again be treated to another fine show from the steam tight Jubilee.
Its been a while since I've filmed on the Idyllic Kennet and Avon Canal, four years to be correct, so we were determined to get a few angles of the action. Bang on time, Bahamas is seen and heard in full voice as the the Jubilee roars past Crofton on the climb to Savernake Summit, the grey August morning was soon forgot about after the stirring passage of Bahamas. The return leg would see us head to North Brewham for the climb of Brewham, where Bahamas is seen roaring away in its usual fashion as the loco heads towards Wiltshire.
There was other planned shots along the way but heavy summer traffic past Stonehenge paid end to this, so it we gave up and went for an extended lunch break and a walk around some quaint Somerset towns. I hope you enjoy the video.
