Hay fever got you down? Why not try this stylish hack from 1983!

Back in April 1983, ITN's Lawrence McGinty reported on a perspex helmet that had been designed to combat the affliction - by filtering pollen out of the air.

Wearing the helmet for just 30 minutes would give protection for the whole day... but the design never caught on.
