A pretty monumental recording as this would be the final song the Beatles would ever record. John was not part of this January 3, 1970 session though as he had already announced the previous September that he was leaving the band. Not sure how serious John actually was, it was decided that a proper recording of I Me Mine be made as it would be featured fairly prominently in the Let It Be film.
The original recording was only a one minute and thirty four seconds long and would later be extended by Phil Spector. He did this by repeating the line “All through the day, I me mine” from the first verse, and following it with a further repeat of the chorus and final verse.
Drums:
1960’s Ludwig Hollywood Kit
14x22, 8x12, 9x13, 16x16
1962 Ludwig Jazz Festival 5.5x14
Cymbals:
Paiste 602 14” Hi Hats 60’s
Paiste 602 18” Crash 60’s
Paiste 602 20” Ride 60’s
