So much happening on this track that you don’t even realize until you dig in and really study the isolated tracks. Keep in mind that a lot of this is very low in the mix.

The basic drum track is pretty straightforward and it’s really the overdubbed second drum kit and all of the percussion that really propels the song. Incredibly well thought out and executed. Here are the two isolated tracks that I based all of this from. You’ll hear the overdubbed timpani that’s made to sound like a bus zooming by still in the mix. I don’t own any timpani drums and was not able to include that 😉 I had a blast recreating this one!

John, Paul, George, and Ringo all took part in percussion overdubs as well as Road/Studio Manager Mal Evans and Assistant Neil Aspinall.
