In this video we look at how Pettis actually delivered the Superman Hook and how it is modified from the Superman Punch and then we breakdown the core elements of the Superman Punch and how to use it for Mixed Martial Arts.
The key to any 'Super' punch is to attempt to cause an overreaction from your opponent with something that gets them to read a threat that is different to the final blow that you actually deliver - essentially it's a more elaborate version of a typical feint.
