Eskimo Eddie Ocean 1984
Cutesy Ocean effort inspired by the Sega PenGo! arcade.
First you play a Frogger-style ice-crossing mini-game, guide Eddie up and down the screen three times to rescue Percy Penguin while dodging hazards. Survive that and you switch to Percy for the main event, shove ice blocks around a fixed maze to squash those pesky ice bugs.
The slightly out of tune“Popcorn” rendition will really get on your nerves but the graphics are bright and cartoony, especially Dave Thorpe's cracking loading screen.
It’s harmless, colourful fun for half an hour, but its buggyness can slip you up.
