This silent footage shows a TCU Horned Frogs scoring drive against the Baylor Bears during a home football game on October 29, 1938. TCU won 39–7, going on to finish the season with an undefeated 11–0 record and an AP Poll national championship title. TCU quarterback Davey O'Brien was awarded the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, and Walter Camp Award—the first player in history to win all three in a single season. O'Brien was also the first Heisman winner from any Texas institution. The annual Davey O'Brien Award, established after his death in 1977, is given to the best NCAA quarterback.
