Dr. Lee McIntyre has studied conspiracy and science denial for decades. He attended the Flat Earth International Conference (Behind the Curve, Logan Paul) 2018 undercover to study science deniers in large groups.

In the first part of the series, we look at some of his observations from the Conference. In part two we will look at the '5 Tropes' or characteristic of science deniers and in the part three we'll look at his recommendations on how to talk to a science denier.

In this episode Bob looks at the error induced by uncorrected refraction in the Method Al Biruni. The dip correction on a sextant accounts not only for the curve of the earth but refraction as well.
