Sylvie's theme is very understated and subtle throughout the series, but it's one of the more complex themes Holt brings in. Performed on what seems to be either a nyckelharpa or a hurdy gurdy (probably the former), it progresses in two note phrases with deliberation. It's hesitant, foreboding, and tells of the character's emotionally fragmented state of being. In her more villainous moments it's accompanied by a hectic percussive ostinato, but her theme captures Sylvie's ambivalence and traumatic history in a very captivating, somber way.
