We have one more cutscene showing the ending and denouement of the story: the Legendary Banana really DOES provide an unlimited supply of bananas, just as Palette promised. It begins with a burst of bananas, supplying everyone in the area with one (including the Gala Family, who have freed themselves from the isolated platform on Caelum and found themselves back at ground level) and then becoming a banana plant that can continue to grow bananas for AiAi and the others. Even Easel gets a banana!
Presumably, this banana plant can grow fruit multiple times--real banana plants bear fruit once, then die. They grow fast and yield a lot at a time though.
And then comes the credits, shown as a series of scrapbooks. I find it kind of funny that the VP of accounting at SEGA of America is named Timmy Turner. Either he made a really weird wish to his fairy godparents, or this is what he's doing now as an adult. (Not bad, I'd say.) Only two people designed all of this game's stages though?
I am also not familiar with any of the voices in this game, though I'm not as quite in tune with Japanese voice actors (and as thy're speaking in monkey-language, they don't need them in other languages). I had never heard of Anya Floris, the announcer, though.
Our coverage of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble is not over yet though, for better or for worse. You may have noticed I insistently referred to the "story mode," and yet the game calls this the Advnture Mode. This is because the story portion of the game, though concluded, is only its first half. We have the EX stages after this, which makes up another 100 stages and cranks up the difficulty (though it doesn't get to Astrum difficulty until at least halfway through). We will begin with World 1 EX, Banana Farm EX, roughly two weeks from now.
