Super Mario 3D World's music basks in it's jazzy, band style for it's music, doubling down on the big band flare that the series had been toying with for the games before it. It's main theme is most apparent with this, with a main melody being played on saxophone and supported by bass, trumpets, and a swagger that's utterly contagious. It's a theme that's not only snazzy and funky, but also fun and joyful, encompassing the best qualities of Mario music and going wild with them.
