This fix does work for a defective NEW BB, and I did it in the same shooting session on the first try.
⚠️Of course, a .177 cleaning rod will work for this jam clearing.⚠️
Remember that this is a NEW BB. A badly damaged used BB could render it impossible to shoot out the barrel. This method relies on repositioning the BB so it can launch. A badly damaged used BB can make it impossible.
Please follow my Red Ryder Kid Jam video, if this video didn't work for you. If it isn't even a proper BB, that method is the fastest solution you have.

OTHER JAMS
Please remember there are trigger issues that can cause jams. So when you get a Ryder, TAKE OFF LEVER and lube that slanted metal plate inside. That gets alll over anti-bear trap and trigger sear. This method prevents another type of jam.
Don't take off stock or trigger. The wood can get stripped, and many struggle with the trigger. It is not necessary!
