This simple guided technique will connect you to the Parasympathetic State -- shifting Vagal Tone and calming the mind and body.
It is best listened to using headphones and in a quiet space. There are some parts of the guidance taken from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. This practice allows you to access the inner wisdom that is always available to you. My time training with the Yamabushi in Shonai, Japan, thought me that everything we need is always with us.
This practice is an ancient technique that is now backed up by modern-day neuroscience.
Please watch the entire video to understand the methodology along with the practice. It is important to know what is happening in your body and how you can influence it.
You can enjoy further guided sessions on my channel if you look at the Meditation sections.

It is essential to carry out the training at the same time each day (ideally first thing in the morning). You can practice it in sets of three. So do three of the breaths and then stop for a couple of minutes and then practice another set of three.
As someone who recovered from the severe trauma of losing my son, I know the importance of finding some ease within the body. I witnessed Joshua's last breaths and this image aroused PTSD and severe anxiety and depression.
Accessing the Vagus Nerve and Polyvagal Theory was critical in my recovery. It allowed me the capacity to find a little ease whilst in tandem I built a meditation practice and sought therapy.
This video is recorded live with a group who are participating in my online course (www.remotetribe.co.uk) where we dive deep into the neuroscience of stress, mindfulness, and recovery.
Recovery from whatever loss or stress you have suffered is possible. It does require a desire to do the work, and a commitment to show up. Remember to seek help, speak to friends and find a therapist or coach that is right for you.
Hope & Love, Justin.
