My review of the 1989 Star Trek parody 'Star Wreck The Generation gap' by Leah Rewolinski. This novella attempts to parody, pay homage to, both Star Trek the original series and The Next Generation. As such it features characters like James T. Smirk (Captain Kirk) and Jean-Lucy Ricardo (Captain Picard) as they attempt to hold off 'the cellulites' who want to eat all their supplies.
It is simply nowhere near as good as the gold standard for this sort of thing: the movie Galaxy Quest (1999)
