Thanks for checking out this Stamina Necromancer PVE Build for Greymoor. This is mainly optimized for 12-man trials but can be adjusted to suit dungeon and solo playstyles too.
Edit: Changed DPS Values due to last-minute patch changes! Also check out the DW/Bow Build (originally filmed in Harrowstorm but STILL RELEVANT, with the exception of Siphon off cooldown) - liko.gg/content/2691/liko-still-dominant.-stamina-necromancer-pve-build-(96k+)
Cheers to Lulu for providing us with the parse. He has proven to be one of the most consistent PVE players on ESO, so do check him out.

Greymoor brought us updated ability-altering sets. For ALL stamina DDs: it will be worth farming the following for this build:
Blackrose Dual Wield: Increases your damage done and reduces your damage taken by 6% for 2 seconds when dealing damage with Blade Cloak. The Perfected Set also has a 103 Stamina Recovery Bonus.
Masters Dual Wield (Stinging Slashes): Increases any instance of damage done with Twin Slashes by 1635, rather than only increasing the bleed damage by 1600. The Perfected Set also has a 666 Weapon Critical Rating.
This means you can stay in melee range and go with a DOUBLE Dual Wield Setup. You can also keep the EXACT same gear as the last patch and you'll be fine! See video above.
Gear
Shown here:
- Lokkestiiz Body
- Relequen Body
- Nirnhoned/Precise Master's Dagger/Axe
- Blackrose Dagger x2 Both Infused (Switch this with your Infused vMA Bow for a DW/Bow Setup)
Alternative Gear (for all different setups):
- New Moon Acolyte, Tzogvin, Leviathan (Body), Advancing Yokeda (Weapons) Briarheart, Selene, Velidreth, vMA Bow, Master's Bow
- Switch out Lokkestiiz if someone in your group is using the new Roaring Opportunist set!
Race
- Orc! (Dunmer, Khajiit, Redguard, Woodelf as lesser alternatives)
Mundus
- Shadow
Blue CPs for Practicing on the Dummy
- Master-at-Arms 56
- Thaumaturge 40, Piercing 57, Precise Strikes 61, Mighty 56
Blue CPs in Raid: More important than EVER: Adjust to your group's Physical Penetration Debuffs. Tremorscale has a new unique 2395 Physical Resistance Debuff that can be kept up pretty easily. Here you would remove around 32 points from Piercing, and redistribute those spare points in any logical way. Eg:
- Master-at-Arms 72, Phys. Weapon Exp 3
- Thaumaturge 40, Piercing 25, Precise Strikes 66, Mighty 64
Food
For Practice on Dummy: Lava Foot + 0 points into HP (64 into Stamina)
In Raid: Lava Foot + ~20 points into HP

Rotation
This rotation is centred around achieving uptime of Spectral Cloak. Deadly Cloak lasts 10 seconds, and the buff lasts for 2 seconds per hit, so a max of 12 seconds uptime per cast. This relies on you being as close to the boss as possible.
Aside from that, you will want to keep up Blastbones as often as possible (1-in-3 skills in the best case scenario). Detonating Siphon is BACK on the Global Cooldown, so cast this as soon as the previous cast runs out (once per 12 seconds in the best case scenario). Skeletal Archer, and Barbed Trap, you'll want to cast whenever they run out (15 and 18 seconds respectively).
Rending Slashes can be your main spammable. It is really strong with the Master's Dual Wield since the change buffs the 2x initial hits. Generally, I would try to work around casting this skill non-consecutively, since you probably won't get the first bleed tick otherwise. You can also slot Venom Skull, to be a dedicated spammable, or Whirling Blades.
In execute, it is now worth keeping up Blastbones as it scales in execute! You can now also treat Rending Slashes like a DOT and use Whirling Blades for the rest of the time.
Proposed Simplified Static Rotation
Start:
BB - Archer - Barbed Trap
BB - Deadly Cloak - Soul Trap
BB - Rending - Siphon
BB - Rending - Rending - Rending
Then repeat
BB - Deadly Cloak - Soul Trap
BB - Rending - Archer
BB - Rending - Barbed Trap
BB - Rending - Siphon
Use your Ulti in place of a Rending Slashes cast
Cast Barbed Trap/Archer on cooldown if you wish to as well (you will slightly overcast those here)
In execute, you can drop all but one Rending cast, for Whirling Blades.
Practically, in MANY fights, you can aim to cast all your DOTs once before 25%, then Blastbones/Whirling the rest of the way!

Veteran Cloudrest +3 (Hard Mode)
Score - 134,137
Total Time - 6:23
Vitality - 36/36
Character - Likowo, Stamina Necromancer
Date - 11th August 2019
We wanted to see how effective an 8 Stamina (Necromancer) Character group composition was, seeing as a World Record level run has never been achieved before with all Stamina DDs. I thought there would be promise, but actually, it brings just as many problems as solutions. In the end, most DDs just went with Iceheart and Brawler, to give us a better chance to complete. So it wasnt really worth it.
My role in this fight:
- To try and do damage
- Go down and check-up on the Portal Team every so often
- Chain in adds so the tank can control the Mini-bosses better
- Spam vigor in execute
- Dont die before Zmaja.
From now, I am taking an indefinite break from 12-man Trials Raiding in ESO. Thanks to everyone in Hodor for putting up with me for the last 18 months. Edit: I will still be around in the community, making videos like how I have done until now, minus the Raid ones :).
Also, Hodor will NOT be raiding anymore at this moment in time. Thanks for watching the Hodor trial runs until now.

![ESO - Stamina Necromancer 2H/Bow PVE Build (98k+) - Scalebreaker
Here we have a Stamina Necromancer Two-Hander/Bow PVE build and Iron Atronach Parse for Scalebreaker.
Other setups
DW/Bow: https://youtu.be/o3lK3TgAD-k
vMA Daggers/Bow: https://youtu.be/JXrSpAHqLHU
There have been loads of changes across the board for combat in ESO. I would recommend you to read the relevant patch notes.
I am using the Max Stam/Stam Regen food, with 64 points into Stamina for all Stamina Setups in these rotations. This is simply for comparison purposes in this test environment.
So, the Stamina Necromancer is the go-to class as a DD in Trials in ESO. There is no doubt this is mainly because of their Ultimate, the Pestilent Colossus, which gives an AOE Major Vulnerability debuff for 5 seconds.
Here I will not describe any rotation which relies on Detonating Siphon. Bitterly disappointing that it still doesnt work, since it is amazing for sustain (costs no resources) and does decent AOE and Single Target damage too.
The Stamina Necromancer 2H setups have seen plenty of popularity. The naturally lower crit chance of 2H setups are fairly well countered by its Critical Chance passive boost in execute. This combined with the amazing splash damage offered when Reverse Slice comes into effect means in this video I have decided to select Reverse Slice as the execute morph, rather than Executioner, despite Executioners buff. The Two-Hander setups are generally used for their cleave rather than their single target DPS anyway, so if thats what youre looking for Id recommend any of the Dual Wield/Bow setups that Ive previously showcased.
If you wanted to try out a rotation yourself maximizing ST with Detonating Siphon and Executioner, youd probably be looking at 104k+ here, which would be its real potential in comparison, rather than what I show here.
There are plenty of different bar setups that are viable. For example, you can use Carve as your spammable (better to space it out rather than to cast it consecutively, to get a tick of the bleed), and drop Venom Skull altogether, leaving you a free bar slot on your front bar. Here you could slot Archer, Trap, Boneyard, Trapping Webs or Detonating Siphon for the passives. Wrecking Blow is also pretty good actually. If youre thinking to choose between any 2 combinations which might be pretty close, chances are that they are and youll be fine with your choice.

Rotation
This, like other Stamina rotations, will be 10-seconds long because Arrow Barrage, Poison Injection, Carve and Consuming Trap are all 10 seconds long.
The minimum backbar rotation is simply: Arrow Barrage - Poison Injection. Barbed Trap and Skeletal Archer are to be cast on cooldown, or roughly every other rotation if you want to keep it simple.
On your front bar, make sure to cast Carve and Soul Trap once. In the rest of the time, cast Venom Skull and Blastbones. Generally, you can cast Blastbones 1-in-3 skills (if youre lucky), so you can expect to cast it 3 times per rotation. Of course, you will need to space them out, so often it will be 2x 1-in-3 and a 1-in-4 to generalize.
As you head towards execute, at around 30%, you can start casting Reverse Slice as your main spammable. If you are using 3x Bloodthirsty, then below 25% you can simply drop Blastbones altogether. Keep up all DOTs if you anticipate getting a near full duration out of them, then otherwise cast Reverse Slice as much as you can. If there are other targets nearby that require to be splashed down, then you can more or less drop Blastbones completely at 35% and simply rely on Reverse Slice.
For Maarselok, you will need to Bash once every 7 or more seconds to proc its effect.
Proposed Static Rotation:
Start: Archer - Trap - Blastbones
Barrage - Injection - (Archer / Barbed Trap - alternate them after the first rotation)
Blastbones - Carve - Consuming Trap - Blastbones - Spam - Spam - Blastbones
Spam = Venom Skull above 35% and Reverse Slice below 35%. Below 25%, also replace Blastbones with Reverse Slice.
Thanks for checking out this Stamina Necromancer 2H setup. Let me know if you need anything related to the setups!

This is probably the first time where I didnt get stunned here haha.
I am using 3x Arcane Jewelry because it is better for killing the little bombers, and also sometimes I barely get to execute since killing them at the end can be important, as you can see in this clip. 3x Arcane is also better for destro ulti bursts at the start and at various phases of the fight.
For some reason, my bar swapping on this fight, in particular, is really laggy. At least the frame rates are much better frames in previous times though (compared to when I last uploaded this fight half a year ago - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsRbl3KlUWA).
