Sonic Robo Blast 2 really is the Sonic fangame that can do it all, even be a Mario game and an amazing one at that, you'd be hard pressed to tell it's a Sonic game if I didn't tell you beforehand.

As for the Mario mod, I am aware there is another Mario mod with similar moveset and polish, but uses the Mario RPG artstyle (I will get to that don't worry), but the N64 Mario mod stood out to me because of the spritework. Similar to E-102 Gamma, this Mario mod has painstakingly amazing spritework designed to emulate the 3D renders of the Super Mario 64 promotional material and boy does it look good.

Moveset wise, it's pretty much an accurate translation of Super Mario 64's moveset (minus the wall jump, that thing is busted) but adapted to SRB2's speed and insane focus on momentum. Make no mistake, despite making it look easy in some speedruns, this Mario mod is hard to tame and control but very fun and satisfying to master.

Amazing SRB2 mod, go play it right away.
