Sorry, no extravagant or unhinged YouTube video title for this one, folks. And consequently, not a very long or detailed description for this Sonic fangame either.
Sonic Eternal is a classic-styled Sonic fangame, the vanilla flavor of Sonic fangames. Nothing wrong with it, in fact, I do enjoy classic Sonic games that don't try to reinvent the wheel and Sonic Eternal is as vanilla as it gets, no drop dash, roll lock, insta-shield, etc. In fact, I kinda appreciate the removal of the drop dash and roll lock as it forces me to be more active when engaging with the platforming. Not a fan of the 4:3 aspect ratio and lack of panning camera though.
Level design is pretty good, though the fangame itself tends to be buggy in regards to sound effects and even some collision detection near platform edges. Aesthetics are pretty nice.
All in all, Sonic Eternal demo looks promising and is a decent enough time for those wanting that classic Sonic fix.
