Sonic Frontiers is pretty ambitious in its scale compared to previous Sonic ganes, but it's not without its faults. Mainly the constant asset pop-in and limited LOD (Level of Detail) on distant objects. This is a pretty reoccurring complaint across multiple Sonic Frontiers reviews and one I agree with myself. You'd think at least on PC, there would be some sliders in the graphics options menu, but no, they're completely missing.

Thankfully, modders have managed to crack the game's code and increase those values and Sonic Frontiers greatly benefits from this. I also took the liberty to add in some reshade effects, mainly sharpening, more vivid colors and better volumetric lighting and I think the game looks better for it.
