It's been a while! As usual! Just felt like tackling this song the other day so I went ahead and did it, even though it's not even close to being the next one in OST order. Ah well.
Anyway! The original version of this track has a much more staccato-like feel, and while some of it is ironed out by the compression, for my remake, I wanted to go for a much smoother sound in general. I took some inspiration from the Mario Galaxy games for the instrument choices since it seemed like the closest match to what I had in my head and I think it works pretty well. I was trying to get my friend to play the solo violin part, but they still haven't gotten around to replacing a broken string, so the sampled violin returns. I tried my best with the programming, and while it's obviously not as good as the real deal, it's still miles ahead of the original track, so it's good enough for now.
