Look, it's not that I forgot about this one! It technically comes before Bowser's Castle in the official OST, but I skipped it back then to get to the area themes, and now I'm just filling the gaps, so to speak.
Since this was my first Partners in Time remaster in 2021 (oh boy), it was a bit of a challange to capture the energetic yet not overly epic feel of this song, but after a lot of tweaking I finally got it to sound the way I want. To achieve that, I mixed to whole thing to be much drier than usual and then added some glue reverb afterwards for a cohesive sound, which is quite different to my usual approach which is all about getting the most out of the ambience recorded in the samples themselves and avoiding heavy processing.
I also added a bit of variation to the second and fourth loop as the original was so short it would've barely scratched the one-minute mark *even when looped once* to avoid it getting too repetetive.
